Hello everybody. Your friend Owen here. I come to you with a request for suggestions.
On top of my temporary jobbing and money saving, I’m trying to think up some ways to raise money for upcoming tours, my wedding/marriage/honeymoon, a car (i’ve never owned one and still don’t), a decent laptop (i still have a immobile desktop.)
What I want to hear is your ideas on what you think would be a great way to raise a few bucks for an aspiring artist like myself.
Today was spent at Macy's in the Galleria in St. Louis, MO. Jillian and I headed there to attend this Martha Steward Wedding Event where we listened to some Editor that works for Martha Stewart chat about life and wedding planning.
We were given gift cards and other things in high hopes that we would register at Macy's for our Wedding. We did already, so whatevs.
We were entertained with pastries and beverages. Fun.
We wrapped up the afternoon with Coffee, Tea, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and the Apple Store.
No we are eating TeaQuitos and sipping milk. Delicious.
This last week or so, has been spent in the depths of north-west Arkansas. Russellville to be more specific. I've been spending time with my dear friends in the band Deas Vail.
We've been doing a lot of hanging including watching Alien 1 + 2, playing a fun multiplayer solitaire eske game called "Nertz," eating more Taco Johns than I could have ever dreamed about, rock climbing (in which I napped) and getting to know a great group of guys and girl better.
Tomorrow I head back to Illinois to be with my lovely fiancee, friends, family and hoping to spend the next few days being home re-grouping, doing laundry, and figuring out our next move.
This decision to get married has been such a big one to make. Sometimes I feel like I'm not even worthy of such a wonderful gift. And what a wonderful person's life I get to be apart of. She is so wonderful.
Though planning a wedding, and budget planning has been stressful, I know it's all worth it. Spending every day with the person you love.
I've been reading the book "Sex God" this last month or two. I really encourage you to read it.
I'm going to log off of this blog situation and get back to making the most of these last few moments in AR. I love you all.
